And the Blog Begins... with Food of Course!

Thought I would begin my first blog with just a snippet of what my life looks like on Green Flash.  It all starts with the food, but I guess it can't all be about food (darn)! Sometimes I wish I could just wear a chef's hat.  Actually, there are a lot of great things that happen in between.  As my blog continues, I hope to fill in the details, (believe me there are many), and share with you not only some delicious recipes, but fun and wonderful experiences and interesting and awesome people we meet along the way.

Provisioning is always "fun" and for me it all begins at Supa Valu (gotta love the name and the spelling!) in Road Town, Tortola.  You never know what you'll find there.  The little magic doors open and the surprises are many.  Love to start there!

Next stop, Cash and Carry and Rite Way.  The produce actually looked pretty good that day.

Next, French Deli.  Such a great addition to BVI.  I count on them for awesome cheeses, cured meats, breads and olives.

Iris, a Tortolan local and our favorite (and very patient) taxi driver, takes us on all our crazy errands... great lady!

Now the work really begins.  Where the he.. are we going to put all this stuff???!!!

Somehow we get to this stage.  Now the charter begins!

Green Flash Special Mediterranean Salad off Valley Trunk Bay, Virgin Gorda, one of my favorite beaches in the BVI!

Egg Scramble with French Brie, Baby Asparagus, Red Onion on Toasted French Croissant off Prickly Pear, North Sound.

Anjou Pear, French Brie, Red Onion, Jalapeno Quesadillas and Green Flash Special Spicy Margarita, our signature drink.

Arthur serenades us in the evenings

Lounging is a must!

Kayaking and Paddle Boarding Great Harbour, Jost Van Dyke

Lob Lolly Beach, Anegada

Snorkeling the Indians

Kneeboarding behind Dinghy

Beach Walk to Cow Wreck Beach, Anegada

Oh ya... we do sail too (actually a lot)!

The perfect way to end another awesome day in paradise.  Moored off Bitter End, North Sound, Virgin Gorda.

Welcome aboard... I hope you will enjoy sharing this adventure with me!
